Accessibility Community of Practice In-Person
The Accessibility Community of Practice serves as a “revamp” of the newly minted Accessibility 1010 course. This course will now serve as the primary study tool and aid for the attendees to engage with over the course of the semester. Prior to the first COP meeting, attendees will be placed in the course as a “student role” in eLEARN. Each month, the group will engage in meaningful discussions pertaining to the various elements of accessibility found within the course. Faculty will have free reign to study and attempt assignments only for their own benefit, as any submission or grade received does not count as an official grade.
Training will be held on Wednesday 2/14, 3/13, and 4/10 from 2:30-4:30pm via Microsoft Teams or on the Morristown Campus (CCEN 243). Virtual participants will receive a link via WS email to the session prior to the event. You will need a computer with an internet connection to attend virtually. Attendees only need to register once for all three events.
Only faculty who have taught Fall 2023 or are currently teaching are invited to join this training. Faculty who attend and complete an assessment of the training will receive extra compensation of $50 (pre-tax) paid according to payroll's established deadlines. If you have questions about the training, please contact Seth Kerney (Seth.Kerney@ws.edu).
