Syllabus Creation: Best Practices In-Person

Creating the perfect syllabus can be daunting. This session is geared toward syllabus best practices. We will review categories that align with Quality Matters*, accessibility guidelines for formatting, and Simple Syllabus features to help you make the perfect syllabus. * QM is the college's quality online course assurance standards approved by Faculty Senate, Academic Affairs, Academic Administrators, and the Teaching and Learning Technologies Committee.

Training will be held on Monday, April 15 from 2-4pm via Microsoft Teams and in CCEN 243.  Virtual participants will receive a link via WS email to the session prior to the event. You will need a computer with an internet connection to attend virtually.

Only faculty who have taught Fall 2023 or are currently teaching are invited to join this training.   Faculty who attend and complete an assessment of the training will receive extra compensation of $50 (pre-tax) paid according to payroll's established deadlines. If you have questions about the training, please contact Carrie Davis, (carrie.davis@ws.edu), Kay Heck (kay.heck@ws.edu), or Seth Kerney (seth.kerney@ws.edu).
