Open Educational Resources In-Person
Open Educational Resources (OERs) can offer a robust amount of materials for your class. This two-day working session is designed to support you as you convert your class to a complete OER course, or if you choose, to supplement your course with OERs. While most time will be dedicated to instructors finding and incorporating OERs into coursework, we will also review copyright, accessibility, and course goal alignment within the context of OERs. This training applies to all course delivery modes including traditional face-to-face, online, hybrid, virtual, and dual enrollment.
Training will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 10-11 from 9am- 3pm daily via Teams and CCEN 243. Virtual participants will receive a link via WS email to the session prior to the event. You will need a computer with an internet connection to attend virtually. Participants only need to register one time for the training; registration is for each day.
Only faculty who taught fall 2023 - spring 2024 or are currently teaching are invited to join this training. Faculty members who attend and complete an assessment of the training will receive extra compensation of $150 (pre-tax) paid according to payroll's established deadlines. If you have questions about the training, please contact Julie Lewis (Julie.lewis@ws.edu) or Erin Bilotti (erin.bilotti@ws.edu).
