HIPs: Reflection In-Person
Reflection helps students integrate their learning and make personal connections to course content. This session will highlight the role of structured reflection assignments such as journals and group reflections, as well as provide faculty opportunities to develop quality reflective prompts. The practice of reflection encourages a growth mindset and fosters continuous improvement. It helps students build connections between their academic learning and their personal and professional lives. As one of the 8 quality dimensions of HIPs, reflection helps students to engage in deep, meaningful learning that strengthens their understanding and enhances their sense of belonging.
Training will be held on Thursday, 4/17 from 1-3pm via Teams ONLY. Participants will receive a link via WS email to the session prior to the event. You will need a computer with internet connection to attend virtually.
Only faculty who have taught Summer 2024, Fall 2024, or are currently teaching may receive pay for this training. Faculty members who have completed this training before must receive permission to be compensated for it from the Executive Director of IDEAS: Candace Justice (candace.justice@ws.edu).
