Artificial Intelligence In-Person
Are you wanting to learn more about AI and how to use it in teaching? Do you want to learn how to guide students in the ethical use of AI for their assignments? This is the training for you! Join us for a two-day training this summer to get a general look at AI, including using it in teaching, creating assignments using generative AI, teaching students to use AI ethically, and more.
Training will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, June 25-26 from 9am-3pm daily via CCEN 243 and Teams. Virtual participants will receive a link via WS email to the session prior to the event. You will need a computer with an internet connection to attend virtually. If you attend in-person, please bring a device. Please only register for one day of the event. Registration is linked. Registering for one day will register you for the entire event.
All staff are welcome to attend this professional development but cannot be compensated for the event. Only faculty who have taught Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or are currently teaching may receive pay for this training. Faculty members who have completed this training before must receive permission to be compensated for it from the Executive Director of IDEAS: Candace Justice (candace.justice@ws.edu). Faculty members who attend and complete an assessment of the training will receive extra compensation of $150 (pre-tax) paid according to payroll's established deadlines. If you have questions about the training, please contact Angie Elkins (angie.elkins@ws.edu) or Kristen Johnson (Kristen.johnson@ws.edu).
