"Escape" Traditional with Digital Breakout Games In-Person

Breakout sessions create natural problem solving environments where individuals can use their analytical and critical thinking skills to find solutions. We all know that learners retain knowledge better when they can apply what they’ve learned, a practice often labeled “active learning” or “constructivism” by education scholars. In this presentation, participants will leave with an action plan for implementing a breakout session at their own facility. Looking for a way to "escape" the traditional classroom environment? Creating Free Digital Breakout Games can help you "breakout" of your day to day routines while engaging your students with important features of the four C's of 21st century learning and workforce: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Come to the session! Play a breakout game! Discover how to create your own breakout game!

Upon successful completion of the training survey, attendees will receive $50 (pre-tax). The training will be held on the Morristown Campus on June 20 from 9:00-3:00 (breaking for lunch) in CCEN 243.
